Born and raised in the Philippines, he moved to the United States in 2016 and graduated from Providence Christian College in Los Angeles. He also played four years of college soccer while pursuing his degree in Media, Culture, and the Arts. He formerly interned at the Brooklyn Paper and covered the Brooklyn Nets' 2021-22 season.
