PSG are testing Liverpool with massive Mohamed Salah offer

If Liverpool want to keep Mohamed Salah they need to move quickly to quell PSG's interest in the Egyptian attacker.

Liverpool are steaming towards a Premier League title at the moment but the long-term future of several key players is a hot topic at Anfield. Mohamed Salah may be the member of Arne Slot's side who is most likely to leave the club in the near future.

PSG are one of several clubs keeping a close eye on the Egyptian attacker. They have already made a substantial bid to bring him to France when the summer transfer window opens. Romain Collet Gaudin is reporting that the Ligue 1 side have already offered Salah a wage packet that would pay him over 500,000 pounds per week.

Liverpool would like to keep Salah in the fold for the long haul but they might not want to match PSG's offer in terms of wages or length. In addition to a massive salary, PSG are reportedly willing to offer Salah a three-year contract to secure his services.

Liverpool have a tough decision to make on Mohammad Salah

Liverpool fans should expect Slot to have a lot of influence on what happens with Salah moving forward. The innovative manager understands how important Salah is to his attack at the moment, but he might want to inititate a youth movement of sorts at the club. That might mean letting Salah go to make room for younger attackers who can be a part of the club's long-term project.

Losing Salah would still rob the club of one of the most prolific attackers in the Premier League. The 32-year-old attacker has already scored 17 goals in just 18 league appearances this season. His age might be a concern for club officials but he has not shown any meaningful signs of age-related regression to date.

In the end, Salah will need to make a decision about what he prioritizes most. If he wants to be challenged in arguably the world's most competitive league then he should exten his stay at Anfield. If he's ready to take the easier path he should accept PSG's lucrative offer.
