UCLA continues to build the offensive line as they secured a commitment from their third four-star offensive lineman recruit after Fred Ulu-Perry (Honolulu, HI. St. Louis) committed to the Bruins on Saturday.

The 6-2.5, 295-pound Ulu-Perry is the nation’s No. 194 recruit overall regardless of position, No. 2 center and the No. 3 recruit in the state of Hawaii, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He chose the Bruins over the Oregon State Beavers.

Ulu-Perry was one of the top offensive linemen to perform at Nike’s “The Opening” earlier this week when he routinely stoned opposing defensive linemen, including five-star defensive tackle, Khalil McKenzie, who committed to Tennessee on Thursday.

247Sports’ Barton Simmons was in Beaverton, Oregon for The Opening and called Ulu-Perry the “Alpha Dog” for his work on Wednesday.

“The 6-2.5, 295-pound center showed outstanding feet, strong hands, good hand placement, toughness and resiliency. If he lost a rep, it one or two tops and he was going up against some of the best in attendance.”

It was a particularly strong week for UCLA at The Opening as Jim Mora’s 2015 class added commitments from three-star athlete Stephen Johnson on Tuesday and from four-star offensive tackle Andre James on Thursday.

Ulu-Perry is the third highest ranked recruit to commit to UCLA, trailing only No. 1 pocket-passer and No. 5 overall player, Josh Rosen and No. 1 tight end and four-star recruit Aliz’e Jones.

The Bruins have moved up 19 spots on the 247Sports team rankings this week and currently own the nation’s No. 17 class and the No. 2 class in the Pac-12, one spot ahead of the Oregon Ducks and two spots below the rival USC Trojans.
