The Associated Press released it’s preseason top 25 college football poll on Sunday. College football fans are some of the most passionate fans in the country, so you know there are bound to be all kinds of reactions to this, good and bad.

Some love for the top team:
SEC only has 8 in the first poll. Looks like a another down year.

Eight ranked teams is a down year? Only in the SEC….
.@AP_Top25 @ralphDrussoAP Before the Top 25 rankings are released, remember that I haven't lost a game since last November (that's 9 months)

The jokesters were out as well, as seen above. Did your team make one poll and not the other? This person feels your pain….
Mizzou football is No. 24 in the AP Top 25 poll but doesn’t make the USA TodayCoaches poll.
— Karen Mitchell (@uberscholar) August 17, 2014
Or did your team not make it at all?
I keep scrolling the AP Top 25 but can't find Michigan anywhere....

There are two sides to this story though:
Northwestern is left outside the AP preseason top 25 poll.... We have the nation right were we want them. #football

And some for teams that are not poll darlings:
@AP_Top25 ECU beats UNC by 25 points on the road in 2013, returns tons of players from a 10-3 team and no love in the poll? Come on, guys.

I can only assume that this was intended for one Bob Stoops:
"@BruceFeldmanCFB: 8 SEC teams and 6 Pac12- teams make preseason AP Top 25.. http://t.co/6q9YRwSsxs" Congrats on your 3 ranked teams #big12!
— SEC Far West (@SEC_Far_West) August 17, 2014
This was a little more blatant attack on Big Game Bob:
@AP_Top25 who is Bob Stoop paying every yr for the 1st place votes & Top 10 rank? It's hardly deserved! Reminds me of ALL of Mack's UT Teams
— Mike Hopper (@alphamidland) August 17, 2014
Here someone alludes to the curse of the number one ranking:
.@FSU_Football got 57/60 1st place votes in @AP_Top25 poll... Guess you won't need to make reservations for Arlington!

As usual, there is some SEC-hating going on.
