It’s no secret recently that Florida Gators head coach Will Muschamp is one of the college football head coaches under the most fire early on this season. After last weekend’s blowout loss to Alabama, there are some under the impression that Florida AD Jeremy Foley should hand him his walking papers immediately.

But, Foley isn’t going to do that. Not just yet, at least.

Per the Orlando Sentinel, Foley will indeed be giving Muschamp the entire season to show that he can put everything all together, but when that time period is through, then an evaluation will be conducted.

"“You never judge or evaluate a program based on one game or one season,” Foley said. “That’s just not how we do things here. We’re going to evaluate where we’re headed – where the players are, how is recruiting going, what type of staff we have — are we a better (program)? That’s going to be plain for all of us to see, but it’s also going to be played out over the course of 11 games and we’ll see where we are when we get to the end of the season.”"

Let’s not forget that, after finishing up 4-8, there were a lot of people with the belief that Muschamp should have lost his job after last season. But Foley decided against that, giving Muschamp this one season to show that he can get the job done.

Now the real question is, should the Gators suffer a few more blowout losses this year, will Foley go against this statement and pull the trigger on a Muschamp release early?
