Many were wondering whether Gordon would be in game shape and if that would lead to a “pitch count” of sorts.
Well, we got our answers early.
Josh Gordon is still the same Josh Gordon who was able to dominate opposing defenders last season, and it doesn’t appear that the Browns are worried about his conditioning or limiting his reps in his return to the lineup.
Gordon played 13 of the Browns’ first 17 snaps and he picked up a crucial 22-yard gain on a scoring drive. Two plays later, Isaiah Crowell punched it in for a touchdown to draw the Browns even with Atlanta.
It is safe to say that Josh Gordon is back.
For those who stashed Gordon away on your bench in your fantasy football league, it shouldn’t take long for the move to pay off. This juice was definitely worth the squeeze.
