In their Sunday night game against the Denver Broncos on Nov. 30, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made a gesture at Walt Coleman. The NFL has weighed in.

That’s an expensive illegal motion penalty.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was fined Friday $11,025 by the NFL for an incident in their Nov. 30 game against the Denver Broncos.

NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported the fine … sort of …

What Kelce did was stand next to referee Walt Coleman and make a gesture sort of like he was rolling dice, only if he didn’t have dice in his hand and instead had a certain anatomical part that you really shouldn’t pretend to play with on national television.

Coleman was calling a roughing the passer personal foul against Denver’s Von Miller, so it’s not really even clear what Kelce was annoyed about. But the gesture, coupled with a nice roll of the eyes, made it clear that it was Coleman who was the object of Kelce’s scorn.

The fact that it happened on primetime TV couldn’t have helped the situation, given the way certain segments of the population completely freak out if there’s ever anything on the television screen that might offend them in the slightest.

And if you missed it, don’t fret … here’s your chance to freak out, just a few days late:

After all, think of the children! Who will be there to tell them that this sort of behavior is wrong? Particularly when the parents are so busy freaking out about it they forget about the whole … you know … parenting thing.
