The move to the SEC for Texas A&M has resulted in three top-16 recruiting classes and the 2015 class is poised to make it four straight for Aggies head coach Kevin Sumlin.

Texas A&M has taken over as the program to beat for recruits in the Lone Star State since the Aggies moved to the SEC and enjoyed the brilliant career of 2012 Heisman winner Johnny Manziel to boost the recruiting efforts for the Kevin Sumlin’s staff in College Station.

The Aggies had the nation’s No. 16 class in 2012 and have gotten better each of the last two classes with the No. 9 class in 2013 and last year’s No. 5 class. Last year’s class may go down as the best in program history and isn’t far-fetched to think it could result in a national championship with Myles Garrett, Kyle Allen and Speedy Noil the headliners.

  • All three represent the future of the program but they’ll be helped out with the reinforcements coming in the 2015 class that ranks No. 9 entering National Signing Day. The Aggies class ranks 10th in the nation and fifth in the SEC with 23 commits, including five-star receiver Christian Kirk and No. 1 dual-threat quarterback and Aggie legacy, Kyler Murray.

Now Sumlin needs to translate these highly ranked recruiting classes in to SEC championships.
