Paul Pierce doesn’t know how to use emojis, and Rudy Gobert was not about to pass up an opportunity to troll him about it.

The whole saga involving DeAndre Jordan and the Los Angeles Clippers is dominating the NBA at the moment, but we’re all taking a sidebar thanks to Paul Pierce being the old man on the block and not knowing how to with the iPhone.

If you missed it, Pierce wanted to get in on the emoji war that is raging at the moment, and when he couldn’t figured it out he told the world to get off his lawn by tweeting out whatever the hell he wanted to. What he ended up tweeting out was a rocket ship, which made little sense and also seemed to be some sort of clip art emoji.

After Paul Pierce tweeted out his rocket ship emoji, Utah Jazz big man Rudy Gobert trolled him and won Twitter.

Paul Pierce is old, so we can’t really blame him for not understanding technology, but he’s not that old and not Twitter and emojis aren’t that new.

Still, anytime you can drop a wicked Gameboy burn on someone, that’s an opportunity we should all welcome.
