According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, free agent Dwyane Wade is getting a lot of interest from the Denver Nuggets.

A free agent once again, Dwyane Wade is trying to earn himself what could be his last pay day. Wade has played his entire career to this point with the Miami Heat, but the free agent guard is reportedly drawing interest from a variety of teams. One of those teams, according to Marc Stein, is the Denver Nuggets.

Considering that Wade’s last offer from the Heat was reportedly around $10 million per year, this is most likely just Wade trying to get the Heat to up their offer a little bit. However, it’s quite possible that perhaps Wade is ready to move on from the Heat as he searches to win his third NBA title and cash in one last time after taking less money from the Heat on numerous occasions.

Wade can still be a productive basketball player when he’s healthy. He proved that last season by averaging 19.6 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, 4.6 assists per game, and 1.1 steals per game in 74 games. As always, his PER was sky high at 20.3, which is above league average. During the postseason, Wade averaged 21.4 points per game.

It would be weird to see Wade wearing anything but a Heat jersey. However, perhaps Wade will decide to move on and fans will have to accept that reality. As Stein said, everyone’s gut feeling is that he will be returning once again to Miami.
