NCAA Tournament 2013 Scores: Miami Hurricanes Storm Past Pacific, 78-49
By Josh Sanchez
The No. 2 seed Miami Hurricanes are one of the most intriguing teams in the 2013 NCAA Tournament field and they were able to advance to the next round of the tourney after dismantling the No. 15 seed Pacific Tigers in the second-round on Friday afternoon.
Miami stormed past the Tigers by a score of 78-49.
Miami’s senior leadership and the presence of Shane Larkin, one of the best young players and point guards in the nation, makes the Hurricanes a scary out for anyone they face moving forward. The Hurricanes are already playing with a chip on their shoulder after becoming the first ACC team to win the regular season and tournament championship without earning a No. 1 seed in the big dance.

The Hurricanes of Durand Scott and Shane Larkin led Miami to victory.
Scott was the games leading scorer with 21 points, while Larkin fell just short of a double-double with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Travis Fulton led the way for Pacific with 18 points.
With the win, the Hurricanes will face the winner of the Illinois Fighting Illini vs. Colorado Buffaloes match up later today in their next game in the East Region.
Miami could be a team that makes a serious run and ends up playing for the tournament championship, but first they will need to continue taking care of business and pushing through the tournament field.
