When Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Melky Cabrera was suspended last season after testing positive for inflated levels of testosterone, a few of his San Francisco Giant teammates attempted to extend a helping hand to the shunned All-Star.

Buster Posey, the 2012 National League MVP, was not one of them.

Few players appeared to be more frustrated and irked at Cabrera than Posey, who at times appeared angry when he was forced to answer questions about Cabrera, eventually even refusing to acknowledge any query about the Melk Man – a pretty strong showing of emotion from the normally docile Posey.

So with the San Francisco Giants opening up their lone series in Toronto tomorrow, will there be any hugs and handshakes between the two? Apparently not, at least according to Giants beat writer Henry Schulman:

"Buster Posey, who seemed most angered by Melky Cabrera’s drug suspension last year, said he’s not going to greet Cabrera warmly in Toronto on Tuesday night, but won’t ignore him either: “I’m not someone to go talk to other players before a game no matter what,” Posey said. “So when he comes to the plate it’ll just be ‘hello,’ and we’ll just compete.”"

Despite a cold shouldered relationship between the two, all isn’t bad for Melky as the Giants plan to give Cabrera his World Series ring prior to tomorrow’s game.

I have a feeling Buster Posey wont be watching.
