Former Baltimore Raven safety Ed Reed, who signed a contract with the Houston Texans this offseason says he may not be ready for the season opener on September 9th, namely due to an injury he suffered because of New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady.

During the AFC Championship game between the Patriots and Ravens, Brady was flushed from the pocket with Reed giving chase. Brady slid to avoid the tackles from Reed and other Ravens, but stuck his foot in the air, clipping Reed in the process, a play that the Ravens felt was dirty:

The NFL did as well, fining Brady $10K.

Now Reed says the reason he may not be ready for the season is because of that play and Brady.

Per the AP:

"“The only play I could look at is when I got kicked by a certain quarterback,” Reed said referring to Brady. “But even then, I played in the Super Bowl and you saw what happened there.”"
