Local police and investigators have been searching the home of New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez throughout the morning but they’ve apparently come across something interesting, potentially a safe – or something locked.

WCVB reporter Kimberly Bookman is reporting that not only did an investigator bring a pry bar into Hernandez’s home, but now a locksmith has shown up.

Per Bookman:

"Investigator just brings a pry bar into Hernandez’s home. #wcvbLocksmith just pulled into Hernandez’s driveway. #wcvb"

Hernandez, who apparently isn’t anywhere near his home, unlikely left anything important in the safe – at least – that would be a reasonable though, though given the absurdity of the entire process assuming anything might be a poor decision.

Earlier today, our own Josh Sanchez reported that local authorities had made their way into the home of Hernandez (unknown if it was allowed or forced entry) and were in the process of searching it with a collection of K-9 dogs. There has been no confirmation if the dogs are drug specialists (the likely scenario) or cadaver dogs.
