Folks, the NFL is back and so are creative fan costumes.

As the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills kicked off their game today, there were a few special spectators in the crowd, namely, the guys below who dressed up in some Aaron Hernandez prison attire.

The group of fans were captured walked to their seats by another fan at the game, who decided to upload the photo to their Twitter account.

With the Hernandez situation, you’re going to be walking a fine line between what is appropriate and what isn’t, considering the horrible and tragic events that took place.

That said – it’s a pretty funny poke at Hernandez, who currently sits in jail awaiting trial on murder.

Per Breyon Harris:

So – what’s the verdict, FanSided? Funny? Too soon?

I have to give them credit for the solid execution, even if it’s inappropriate. They pulled it off well and got quite the group to join them, getting maximum exposure.

Be interesting to see what other types of situations the Patriots will run into this season as they visit opposing stadiums.
