Despite their limited on court success the past few years, the young Sacramento Kings are building a talented roster.

Their newest addition is rookie Ben McLemore, who the Kings selected seventh overall out of Kansas.

McLemore, who many felt was the top shooter in the draft, was expected to go in the top three or four overall (some had him as high as the second pick) but when the Cleveland Cavaliers drafted Anthony Bennett first, a wrench was thrown into the drafting process. That allowed the Kings to luck into McLemore, who apparently has quite the sense of humor.

The rookie shooting guard, after being asked to pick up some Taco Bell for his Mother, decided to place a snake in the bag. As you can imagine, it didn’t go over very well for Momma McLemore, who was less than thrilled to see the special surprise awaiting her.

We’ll see how funny Ben thinks it is when somebody fills his Mercedes with popcorn at season end. All that butter over the leather seats in the hot, Sacramento sun.

His time is coming.
