Just yesterday it was reported that New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski would be 50-50 for Week 3, though, another report suggested that while he was improving, he was still very doubtful to play.

According to Gronkowski himself though, things are going well as he’s progressed ‘big time’ from just last week.

Per Ben Volin:

"Gronk says he has progressed “big time” and “significantly since last week”"

Of course, Gronkowki isn’t the medical staff and they’re not going to clear the tight end until they’re comfortable, which may not be this weekend, though it’s clear the talented tight end is nearing a return in the very near future.

It’s not out of the realm that we may see Gronkowski on some limited snaps this weekend, though, it’s more likely he’ll get in a full week of practice with the team before potentially hitting the field in Week 4 or 5.

We’ll report any further details regarding his status, should they change in the next few days.
