UPDATE: 3:00 PM EST

It turns out the injury may have been lingering for some time now:

——

As if Monday night’s loss to the New York Jets wasn’t devastating enough to the Atlanta Falcons’ season, they may have lost their All-Pro receiver in the process, as Julio Jones suffered a foot injury that may knock him out the remainder of the season:

This is a nightmare for the Falcons, who just one month ago were being touted as a Super Bowl contender, and now will be more likely to be drafting the top-10 of net May’s NFL Draft if indeed Jones , one of the games’ best receivers, misses the next 11 games for a team that’s sitting at 1-4.
