While we hardcore NBA fans were excited for the return of any basketball, preseason or not, watching a sloppy version of an NBA game isn’t exactly fun for most.

The Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors attempted to change that with their comical attempt to win a game against each other Wednesday night where each team did everything they could not to win the game.

With just under twenty seconds left in the game and the Toronto Raptors nursing a four point lead, the Boston Celtics were able to score relatively easy thanks to a pick-n-roll where the screener found himself a lay-in basket. That’s where things turned into a circus.

In a panicked state, fearing they would violate the five second in-bound rule, the Toronto Raptors lobbed the ball over the half-court line where shockingly, a member of the Raptors sat wide open.

Wide a wide open lane to the basket, the Raptors played went in for the game-ending slam but, well, missed. That allowed the Celtics, who were just down by two now, to push the ball to the other end of the court where Jordan Crawford took a fade away three pointer for the win……..which he air-balled.

Speed this video up, add some Benny Hill and you’ve got yourself a classic.
