New England Patriots corner back Logan Ryan intercepted a pass and took it down field over 70 yards for the touchdown. Before crossing into the end zone he turned around and dove in backwards while grabbing his crotch. A celebration similar to the one Marshawn Lynch did against the New Orleans Saints after that incredible “beast mode” run.

That celebration cost him $10,000 when the NFL fined him. It also has him feeling a bit guilty, so Ryan apologized on Thursday.

“First off, I just want to apologize to all the fans and all the viewers who had to witness that,” Ryan said. “I own up to it 100 percent.  It’s not acceptable. It’s not acceptable for me and this team. I want to put it behind me and I want to move on, and focus on Miami, and let people know it won’t happen again. That’s not who I am.”

Special teams captain Matthew Slater defended Ryan earlier this week.

“I don’t want to get into too much detail talking about that, but there are certain things that come over the season that we have to handle in-house, and I think that’s one of those things,” Slater said, via the Boston Herald.  “He’s a great kid, and he’s been nothing but respectful since he’s gotten here.  That’s something we just have to handle in-house.”
