Will he or won’t he be named the Minnesota Vikings starting quarterback for Week 9? It’s apparently not much of a concern for Christian Ponder, who alongside his wife decided to pull off a pretty impressive duel Halloween costume this past weekend.
The two decided they’d dress up as two of the most well recognized characters from the 1993 film, ‘The Sandlot’ as Christian threaded up as the loveable, though slightly irritating Squints while his wife Samantha went with resident Sandlot heartthrob, Wendy Peffercorn.
As you’ll recall in the iconic film (at least to children of the 90’s), Squints faked a drowning so he could get a kiss from Peffercorn, who was the town pools resident lifeguard.
Well played by both of them, though especially Samantha who pulled off Peffercorn perfectly – even down to the white framed sunglasses.
It may not be Miley Cyrus good, like Alex Morgan who alongside Sydney Leroux decided they’d replicate the famed MTV Awards performance between Cyrus and Robin Thicke, but it’s still pretty awesome.
