When Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta went out with injury during training camp, there was concern that he may never play again. Thankfully Pitta avoided a career ending injury, but his ability to play this season was highly in question.

But now just twelve weeks into the season, it’s possible the Ravens star could return to the lineup this weekend as he’s reportedly not ruling out a Week 12 return:

"Dennis pitta ‘we’ll be smart with it we’re going to see how I feel tomorrow and how I feel the next day and go from there’"

Even if Pitta takes the field, it would be in a relatively small capacity. Regardless, it’s a pretty amazing comeback considering the original prognosis which was not overly encouraging.

If Pitta does not play in the Week 12 matchup against the New York Jets, it’s not expected he’ll play in Week 13 considering the Ravens’ Thanksgiving matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers is just four days later.

A more likely scenario would be a Week 14 return when the Ravens host the Minnesota Vikings.
