Last month, Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer said the Dallas Cowboys were expected to let defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin go.

Yet, nearly three weeks later, Kiffin is still the Cowboys defensive coordinator and owner Jerry Jones says nothing has changed in regards to his status or offensive coordinator, Bill Callahan.

"Jerry Jones said nothing has changed with the offensive and defensive coordinators."

What that means is somewhat up for deliberation. Does that mean that Jones expects to keep Kiffin in that role (and Callahan as well)? Or does that mean currently nothing has changed and their futures are left to be determined?

Jason La Canfora has already stated that Jones plans to keep Callahan in his role (despite no public announcement) and the fact that he hasn’t removed Kiffin from his perch has to be a bit concerning to Dallas fans.

In fairness to Kiffin, Dallas’ defense was decimated by injury this past season, but overall the Cowboys defense was not up to par – much of that due to Kiffin, not the injuries that plagued them.
