Raptors at Nuggets final score: Toronto cruises 100-90

DeMar DeRozan scored 19 points (on just six-of-17 shooting) and Terrence Ross added 18 as the Toronto Raptors cruised to a 100-90 victory over Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado Friday night.

Jonas Valanciunas added 13 points and eight rebounds and Kyle Lowry had 13 points and six assists for the Raptors, who are now four games over .500.

The Raptors and Nuggets each played well in the first half, but the Raptors began to pull away in the third quarter when they outscored the Nuggets 26-17 to take a 16-point lead into the fourth quarter. They rolled from there.

J.J. Hickson led the Nuggets with 18 points, 13 rebounds and four assists.

Evan Fournier had 18 points and six assists, but turned the ball over seven times. Turnovers were the story of the game – they plagued the Nuggets throughout the night As a team, the Nuggets turned the ball over 26 times, resulting in 29 Raptors’ points. The Raptors gave the ball away just 15 times.

Randy Foye didn’t shoot well for the Nuggets, going just four-of-13 from the field, but he scored 10 points and dished out 16 assists.

The Raptors are now 25-21 while the Nuggets are 22-23.
