Houston Texans running back Arian Foster put himself in the brokerage business last year allowing fans and traders to purchase stock in himself.

It didn’t exactly work out well given Foster was hurt in his first game and eventually was shut down for the entire season.

San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis is hoping his venture will go a bit better than Foster’s as according to Fantex Brokerage, Davis is now available for trade – on the ‘stock market’ that is.

"We are offering hereby 421,100 shares of Fantex Series Vernon Davis at $10.00 per share on a best efforts, all or none basis. To the extent that there is insufficient interest in shares of our Fantex Series Vernon Davis, this offering may be cancelled and no shares of our Fantex Series Vernon Davis would be sold to the public. Funds received from the offering will be deposited into an interest bearing escrow account pending the closing of the offering in accordance with Rule 15c2-4 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, or the Exchange Act."

I’m guessing Mike Singletary isn’t going to be an investor.
