NFL Rumors: Falcons and Jonathan Babineaux closing in on three-year contract

The Atlanta Falcons are getting close to re-signing defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.

It isn’t a surprising report, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported earlier that the two sides were in “active talks.”
"With free agency set to start on Monday, teams can keep negotiating with their own players in order to keep them from reaching the open market.In addition to defensive tackle Jonathan Babineaux and guard/center Joe Hawley, the Falcons are in “active talks” to retain the services of offensive lineman Michael Johnson, according to his agent Pat Dye Jr."
