NFL Free Agent Rumors: Dallas Cowboys sign DT Terrell McClain
By Bryan Rose
The Dallas Cowboys have lost DeMarcus Ware, but they’ve added Terrell McClain.
That’s the word from Aaron Wilson who reports McClain signed a three-year deal with Dallas this morning, though terms of the deal have yet to be released.
"Dallas Cowboys are signing defensive tackle Terrell McClain to a three-year deal, according to a source"
What? No excitement Cowboys fans?!
I don’t blame you.
As for McClain, he comes over from the Houston Texans after starting sixteen games in his ‘second’ NFL season. A former third round pick, McClain began his career with the Carolina Panthers though only lasted a season as he was cut prior to 2012.
McClain then attempted to latch on with the New England Patriots but didn’t make it past training camp and sat out the season before joining the Texans later that year.
Now 25, McClain has amassed 29 tackles and one sack during his 28 career games – though in fairness numbers aren’t exactly the best way to define a nose tackle.
Regardless, not exactly the signing Cowboys faithful were hoping for.
