Former Carolina Panthers and newly minted Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith is going to have to spend some of his 2014 paycheck on a traffic ticket, this after the Pro Bowl talent was pulled over during a radio interview.

Smith was on his cell phone giving an interview (like many athletes) to Dan Le Batard, Stugotz, and Bomani Jones when all of a sudden he noticed a police officer pulling him over.

The veteran wideout left the interview for a few moments and then returned to the broadcast.

Smith was questioned about the incident by the radio crew, which lead to the wide receiver suggesting he was able to get out of the ticket – though that seems a little questionable given how big of a crackdown there has been on driving with your cell phone.

"“Hey, when you don’t have any warrants or prior arrests it goes a long way with being a good citizen.”"

Regardless, it proved to be a relatively amusing moment.

Also – somebody get Steve Smith a bluetooth so he doesn’t have to deal with this next time.
