Reddit plays April Fool’s joke on San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks fans

So imagine you’re a San Francisco 49ers or Seattle Seahawks fan and happen to be an active user at social media website, Reddit.

You, like always, head to your respective Reddit ‘board’ but all of a sudden your former home – be it the San Francisco 49ers or Seattle Seahawks board – is gone.

Well, maybe not technically gone but rather replaced – by your arch rivals board.

Yep, that’s exactly what Reddit decided to do today, pulling off an epic April Fool’s Day joke on both fan bases.

While the links aren’t likely to last beyond today obviously, if you head over to the 49ers Reddit page, you’ll notice it’s completely covered in Seattle Seahawks colors and logos. And if you make your way to the Seattle Seahawks page, it’s covered in maroon and gold.

After the initial shock, it appears most had a good laugh over the switch. And a big thumbs up to Reddit for pulling that off.

Maybe not your typical April Fool’s joke, but certainly one that worked.
