The Tennessee Titans officially cut former Pro Bowl running back Chris Johnson on Friday and it brought the conclusion of a massive saga that lasted months and involved plenty of trade rumors.
With Johnson now a free agent, he’s free to sign wherever he pleases but that almost wasn’t the case as the Titans has engaged in trade talks with as many s four teams. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons all asked about Johnson but the offers never went anywhere.
Four teams that discussed a potential trade for RB Chris Johnson, but ultimately declined to do so, were the Jets, Bills, Dolphins, Falcons.

We knew the Falcons and Jets were interested but the Bills and Dolphins are a bit newer. Now that he’s a free agent, we’ve only heard the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants mentioned alongside the Jets as teams interested, but the Bills and Dolphins — and possibly even the Falcons — could now come back into play as possibly destinations.
