The New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons are both in the market for speedy secondary running back threats and both seem to be after the same guy. According to the Orlando Sentinel, the Falcons, Patriots and even the Miami Dolphins are all interested in Florida State running back Devonta Freeman.

Per the Orlando Sentinel:

"Freeman, who bypassed his senior year to enter the draft, has already visited with the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots, and he’s one of the higher rated prospects attending the Dolphins’ Pro Day on Friday. He joins nearly three dozen local draft prospects participating in the Dolphins’ workout."

Adding Freeman would be an interesting move for the Falcons as they seem to already have a guy like him in Jaquizz Rodgers and the Patriots have been notorious for this running back by committees over the years. Miami recently signed Knowshon Moreno and will be looking at carrying a few too many running backs into camp so adding another seems lie an odd move.

But Freeman is fast and he’s versatile and that’s what teams want out of a back. He may not be a top prospect but the chances of Freeman landing in a good situation are rather high.
