The Minnesota Timberwolves are looking for a ear coach to replace Rick Adelman, who stepped down to care for his ailing wife earlier this offseason, and already the list of names up for the job is getting shorter and shorter. Whether it be names that the Wolves were considering or names that they’re crossing off themselves, the Wolves coaching search has eliminated more names than it has sought out.

According to Wolves beat writer Darren Wolfson, don’t expect Frank Vogel or Scott Brooks to be on the Wolves radar if they’re fired by the Pacers or Thunder, respectively.

Per Darren Wolfson:

"Coaches currently in the playoffs believed to be on the hot seat include Indiana’s Frank Vogel and Oklahoma City’s Scott Brooks. Sources say neither would register on the Wolves’ radar if either became available."

It would seem odd that the Wolves wouldn’t consider either coach, but if Vogel is fired by Indiana or Brooks by Oklahoma City, it would mean that they failed with good rosters and the Wolves don’t have half the talent those two teams do.

No one knows who the Wolves will offer the job to but Vogel, Brooks, Stan Van Gundy, Fred Hoiberg and Tom Izzo are already crossed off and there isn’t much else out there.
