In an article leading up to the draft that takes a look at the latest buzz surrounding Texas A&M’s Johnny Manziel, it is reported that his family does not want him playing for the Houston Texans. There was also an interesting nugget about Manziel and the Jacksonville Jaguars.

According to the report, Manziel is not very thrilled about the idea of playing in Jacksonville, but it may be something that he needs to get used to.

Don Banks of Sports Illustrated writes:

"I’ve also heard that Manziel himself isn’t wild about the idea of landing in Jacksonville, one of the NFL’s smaller markets, and that the Jaguars would not be his first choice of employers. It’s not a preference based on people, only location. But Manziel doesn’t get to choose his new workplace address, and quarterback-needy Jacksonville remains very much a possibility as his ultimate destination. There was a Houston Chronicle report on Wednesday morning that had momentum building for the Manziel-Jaguars marriage to unfold Thursday night."

On Wednesday morning, there was also a report that the growing belief from media members in New York City is that the Jaguars will make Manziel the No. 3 overall pick if he is available.

It looks like Johnny Football better get ready to play in front of the tarp covered platform covered seats (thanks new video board!) in Jacksonville.

Of course, he could always pull a fast one like Eli Manning and ask for a trade after being selected that would ship him off to another suitor and send the Jaguars a handful of draft picks.

We will just have to wait and see.
