There’s no doubt that if John Wall improved his jump shot, he’d be one of the premier players in the NBA. But alas, Wall remains seemingly one step away from being that franchise talent so many believe he can be.

Helping advance the Washington Wizards into the NBA playoffs and now the Eastern Conference’s second round, Wall has been a man on a mission despite his offensive struggles.

Some have suggested he may want to alter his game a bit to improve the woeful 34 percent shooting average Wall has through the first eight postseason games, but the former Kentucky Wildcat star isn’t hearing it.

"“I’m taking shots I made all season,” Wall said. “That’s why I became an all-star. That’s why I averaged more points. So I’m not going to stop shooting because of what people might say or what the media might say. That’s my confidence and what I believe in and what I worked on. This series, they haven’t been falling, just like Chicago series. But at the same time, you do what you do and what you worked on.”"

Wall assumed responsibility for Washington’s Game 2 loss to the Indiana Pacers, but the Wizards’ Game 3 loss was more of a team effort considering they could only muster 63 points, a franchise low in postseason history.

The Wizards and Wall currently trail the Indiana Pacers in the series, 2-1.
