Clearly, someone in the dugout is trying to mess with Kluber. Probably multiple someones. Kluber however is totally immune to their pranking efforts. He remains completely expressionless and continues on with the interview.
The dugout pranksters decide to up their game. They WILL get Corey Kluber to react. So they hit him with water, while continuing the sunflower seed assault.
Is Kluber bothered? Showing the patience of a Jedi, Kluber just sits there, absorbing the merciless punishment, continuing the interview like nothing is happening.
Now it is on. The prankster is bent on destroying Kluber’s resolve. He will not be denied. So he breaks out the baby powder.
By the end of the interview, Kluber looks like he’s been through World War I. But he still hasn’t cracked a smile. He is still sitting there, cool as ever.
Corey Kluber has nerves of steel. And you know somebody got it bad in the clubhouse after that game. Kluber doesn’t forget. Kluber doesn’t forgive.
