Indiana Pacers’ Paul George on Lance Stephenson’s LeBron James trash talk: ‘He’s doing it to the wrong guy’
Although the Indiana Pacers seemingly have turned things around and are back headed in the right direction, they have dropped both games 2 and 3 to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals after taking down the Heat in game 1 of the series.

One of the major stories of the series so far has been the back-and-forth trash talk between Heat forward LeBron James and Pacers’ guard Lance Stephenson.
Stephenson has gone record saying that he believes James’ trash talk is a sign of weakness.
The Pacers’ best player does not believe that Stephenson’s comments are in the best interest of the team and would rather Stephenson not poke the bear (because in this case, the bear is the NBA’s best player).
“He’s doing it to the wrong guy,” George told Candace Buckner of The Indianapolis Star. “He’s barking up the wrong tree. LeBron is the same way, he feeds off that kind of energy.”
Although trash talking is always a part of the game, George is more concerned with trying to get to the finals that getting into a battle of words with any Heat player.
“It’s tough especially because this series could be 2-1 our way right now if anything,” George said. “That’s why it’s a seven-game series. We’ve got to have the mindset that the best team is going to come away from this.”
The Heat and Pacers will return to action on Monday night. Tip-off from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida is scheduled for 8:30 pm EST and the game is on ESPN.
