Detroit Lions’ Pro Bowl wide receiver Calvin Johnson is in a pickle for the first time in his professional career.
According to TMZ, Johnson’s girlfriend allegedly threatened to “molly-wop” the mother of Johnson’s six month old child, Shallyn Blanton. A “molly-wop” is a slang term for slapping or beating someone up.

Apparently, according to a police report obtained by TMZ, Calvin brought his girlfriend Brittney McNorton to a visitation of his child at Blanton’s home on May 25th. Bringing McNorton was allegedly a violation of the custody agreement and Blanton was not happy.
Ultimately, things got heated during the visit as McNorton and Blanton exchanged some heated words. The exchange led to McNorton threatening to beat Blanton up, or “molly-wop” her. In the police report, Blanton says that no physical altercation actually occurred and Johnson and McNorton left before things escalated even further
To add a strange twist to this saga, McNorton actually works for the Detroit Lions in the marketing department as the Manager of Partnership Activation. Obviously McNorton is not doing a great job of activating a partnership with Blanton.
Blanton is currently in the process of getting a restraining order against Calvin’s girlfriend in order to prevent such occurrences in the future. There is no word as to whether or not what punishment, if any, McNorton will receive for her threats.
At this point in time, Calvin Johnson nor the Detroit Lions have publicly made a statement about the situation.
