NBA Rumors: Kevin Love wants to play for Warriors over Rockets?
By Bryan Rose
The Minnesota Timberwolves continue to stomp their feet, suggesting that they will not be trading All-Star Kevin Love – at least not right now.

It’s an understandable stance for the Wolves considering Love is still under contract, though, assuming the reports of Love wanting out are true (and he hasn’t exactly denied it), Minnesota’s stance on keeping Love seems to be more lip service than anything.
Yes, they could hold out hope that they’d somehow be able to convince Love to stay, but that seems like wishful thinking at this point.
As for the teams Love has interest in? We’ve heard the names – Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, etc. We’ve also heard the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets mentioned as possible destinations, but it’s the Warriors who Love favors over the Rockets, at least according to Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report.
The former ESPN scribe doesn’t really delve into why Love would prefer the Warriors over the Rockets, though the general assumption would probably be the locale.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, there’s no team closer to Southern California outside of the Clippers or Lakers and the Clippers have yet to be linked to Love while the Lakers likely lack assets to acquire the power forward in a trade.
It’s also possible Love doesn’t want to pair himself alongside Dwight Howard, though, a trio of he, Howard and James Harden seems rather formidable.
Then again, Stephen Curry, Kevin Love and the remainder of the Warriors deep roster doesn’t sound so bad either.
