On Wednesday, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick received a huge pay day which had to be music to the ears of Indianapolis Colts star Andrew Luck and Seattle Seahawks signal-caller Russell Wilson.

Kaepernick’s new deal could pay up to $21 million per year, but that number could be even larger for Luck and Wilson.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the two quarterbacks could receive contracts that pay up to $25 million per year when they sign their extensions.
Luck and Wilson are set to be paid in 2015.
Word around NFL is that when Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson get new deals next year, they will come in between $24-$25 million per year.

As you would expect, that figure would be a new record.
Luck is a former No. 1 overall pick and Wilson is a Super Bowl champion.
It is probably safe to assume that the two men receiving such a large pay day would not be met with the same questioning and mixed response that Kaepernick’s new deal was met with.
