Derrick Rose could play if Chicago Bulls season started today

When Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose went down with a knee injury this past season, it was all you could do to not assume the worst.

Just recovered from a devastating injury to his other knee, it appeared as if the former MVP was snake bitten but there is finally good news on the Rose front.
Apparently fully healed from his most recent injury, K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune suggests that Rose could take the floor and play regular game action as soon as tomorrow (assuming there was a need to do so).
“As previously reported, Rose began taking full contact in the form of one-on-one or two-on-two or three-on-three offday sessions late in the first-round series against the Wizards. Rose has had no setbacks and, if the season started tomorrow, would be fine to play. He remains on schedule to participate in the Team USA minicamp in Las Vegas at the end of July and hopes to make the World Cup team that will compete in Spain in late August through early September.”
That’s pretty big news considering we’re just beginning the NBA’s offseason and regular season games aren’t going to tip-off until the final week of October. That will give Rose nearly an additional four months of time to get more strength in his lower body and prepare for the season.
He’ll also get some additional training thanks to the previously mentioned Team USA minicamp.
Obviously they won’t push him too hard, but just seeing Rose on the floor should be fantastic news for Bulls fans.
