The Miami Heat ended up on the wrong side of history in the NBA Finals and failed to win the three-peat they so coveted. That has thrust their offseason into serious doubt as there are questions about how intact the Big 3 will stay and which of its member will try to cash in on the success the team has experienced over the last few years.

Of the Big 3, the biggest question mark surrounds LeBron James and what his decision this offseason will be. LeBron has an early termination opt-out clause in his contract and this is the first offseason in which he can exercise it.
While there is little doubt that LeBron will be back in South Beach in 2014-15, it’s not a done deal and the All-Star isn’t committing to anything just yet.

Many believe that LeBron will be back as there is little reason for him to leave at the moment. But we frankly do not know what this offseason holds and it cold be one that sees the heat blow up the supporting cast and rebuild the pieces around the Big 3.

There’s even a chance it becomes a Big 2 if Chris Bosh leaves, as LeBron James rushing into another year with the Heat is not something he has to do and he’s clearly going to be taking his time.
