On the episode, Team Penn’s Cathal Pendred and Eddie Gordon of Team Edgar went the distance in a back and forth battle.
There were a handful of fans who that that each fighter was the rightful winner, but in the end it was Eddie Gordon of Team Edgar that came away with the win.
That leaves the question, will Cathal Pendred make his UFC debut?
Prior to joining this season of The Ultimate Fighter, there were a number of people who believed he was a UFC caliber fighter.
If Pendred was a UFC caliber fighter before TUF 19, what happens now that he is eliminated?
Well, it just so happens that the UFC is going to Ireland next month.
If Dana White and company are smart, they will find a way to get Cathal on the UFC Fight Night 46 fight card against a deserving opponent. One potential opponent that would allow Pendred to showcase his skills would be fellow TUF 19 castmate Mike King.
During this season of The Ultimate FIghter, King fell victim to Eddie Gordon — the man who edged Pendred.
If Dana White and company really want to know what fighter that fell short is deserving and capable of surviving in the UFC, a bout between Pendred and King would make the most sense.
We will have to see what the UFC ultimately decides in the coming days.
