The Phoenix Suns are one of the younger, more up and coming teams in the league and they just so happen to have three first round picks in the 2014 NBA Draft. Tough living, eh?

However, there are times when you can have too much of a good thing and for the Suns that is apparently right now as they are unlikely to use all three of their first round picks, this according to Suns general manager Ryan McDonough.

Speaking on CBS’ Baumann & Big Joe podcast, McDonough suggested the potential of a move though didn’t expand on what type of deal the Suns would be looking for.

We’ve already heard the Suns as a team linked in the Kevin Love sweepstakes, though their highest pick is No. 14 and that’s unlikely to be all that enticing to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Phoenix also holds the No. 18 and No. 27 selections, so the most likely scenario seems to be the Suns selling off that last first rounder to a team in need of a first round draft pick like the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets or New Orleans Pelicans who are all reportdly looking to acquire a selection in the 25-30 range.

With an already established youthful roster, the Suns simply aren’t going to have enough roster space to bring in three rookies on guaranteed contracts, let alone actually attempt to get them floor time so they may be best served either acquiring a future draft pick and/or cash to alleviate themselves of too many selections.
