The Orlando Magic, who own the No. 4 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft are said to be looking at all options, though have zeroed in on point guard. From Dante Exum to Marcus Smart, they’ll certainly have their pick of the litter but if for some reason the Magic decide to fill another position of need, they may have their eyes on Isaiah Thomas.

The Sacramento Kings guard is a restricted free agent this offseason and should draw a significant amount of interest on the open market. The Magic are one team that may show interest in the pint-sized point, this according to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders who hints the Orlando Magic making an offer is possible, especially if they skip on drafting a point guard on Thursday night.

Given that the Magic own both the No. 4 and No. 12 picks, it doesn’t seem likely that they’d pass on a point guard given their needs, however, there is the possibility of a trade which may take away one of their picks.

Thomas excelled with the Kings last season, though Sacramento has said they plan to match any ‘reasonable’ offer to the former Washington Huskies talent, which is deemed around the $6 million dollar per year range. That figure is likely a little low though as the Kings are likely hopeful a team with intentions to sign Thomas goes just a bit higher (say $7 million) allowing the Kings to match the offer.

Consider the Orlando Magic just one of many teams who will be a rumored destination for Thomas this offseason.
