NBA Rumors: Magic to trade Arron Afflalo to Nuggets for no. 56 pick

With the NBA Draft rapidly approaching Thursday night, the name of Orlando Magic guard Arron Afflalo has been brought up quite a bit. In particular, it’s been mentioned in a possible deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers to acquire the no. 1 overall pick.

Well, Afflalo will be dealt, however it won’t be to the Cavaliers, No, according to Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Afflalo will be heading to the Denver Nuggets instead and the two sides are finalizing the deal.
Orlando is finalizing a trade to send guard Arron Afflalo to the Denver Nuggets, league sources told Yahoo Sports.

In return from the Nuggets, the Magic will receive Evan Fournier and the 56th overall pick in Thursday night’s draft.

So, there we have it. Afflalo is on the move, but it’ll be out west to see if he can help the Nuggets franchise compete in the Western Conference.
For the Magic last season, Afflalo averaged just a little over 18 points per game. This will be Afflalo’s eighth season in the NBA and his second stint with the Nuggets. After beginning his career with the Detroit Pistons, he spent three years in Denver from 2009-12 before moving on to Orlando.
