The NBA offseason is upon us and that means we’re going to be hearing about plenty about Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James int he coming weeks. The list of teams that want them individually doesn’t seem to be as long as the list of teams that want to pair them and that’s something that is going to make free agency interesting.

More from LeBron James

According to Adrian Wojnarowski from Yahoo! Sports, the Phoenix Suns are getting gung-ho about their free agent plans and it sounds like they’re going to make a run at signing LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony this summer.

"Armed with an offer that no else in the NBA can make – a chance to partner with Carmelo Anthony on an instant championship contender – the Phoenix Suns are planning an aggressive pursuit of LeBron James on Tuesday, league sources told Yahoo Sports."

This is a plan we heard rumored a while back but it’s starting to sound like that wasn’t just ramblings by people dreaming about it happening. The Suns went from a sure-fire lottery team this year to a team that came within two games of making the postseason.

It’s still a bit of a long shot but the Suns have a decent chance of making a real run at the LeBron/Melo combo and that’s going to be something that makes basketball in Arizona thrilling once again.
