The Detroit Pistons have wasted no time in free agency as not only have they offered point guard Isaiah Thomas a three-year deal, they’ve also agreed to a meeting with fellow free agent Anthony Morrow.

More from Detroit Pistons

Known for his sharp shooting skills, Morrow isn’t much of a defender or offensive threat if his shot isn’t falling, but as one of the premier gunners in the league he’s always in demand. Given that, the Detroit Pistons, who were one of the worst three-point shooting teams in the NBA last season have made a pitch to the free agent and will meet with him in the upcoming days.

It’s not known what the Pistons are said to be offering Morrow, though, given their hefty offer to Isaiah Thomas one could presume it will certainly be a fair market deal, if not more.

Of course, the Pistons may have a difficult time getting Anthony Morrow to sign on the dotted line as they’re just one of many teams said to have interest in the talented shooter, including multiple teams with deep playoff aspirations.

Still, given the Pistons struggles behind the perimeter last season, they’ll likely be able to afford Morrow significant floor time, something a lot of other teams probably won’t be willing to do. Of course, that might not be the best case scenario for the Pistons given the amount of warts Morrow has in his game, but playing more might be enough to sway Morrow’s decision to Motown.

For now though, there has been no contract offered, just a commitment to meet.
