Although LeBron James allegedly reached out to Mike Miller recently in hopes of teaming up if he was to leave the Miami Heat in free agency, it seems Miller isn’t waiting around. There have already been rumors suggesting that Mike Miller and the Denver Nuggets were hot and heavy on a deal and now reports suggest Miller is in contractual negotiations with the Memphis Grizzlies.

More from Memphis Grizzlies

Miller of course most recently played for the Memphis Grizzlies and has a strong bond with the franchise and fan base considering he’s spent a large portion of his professional career in Tennessee. However, many thought the alleged request from LeBron James may push Miller to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers, assuming James did the same.

The fact that Mike Miller is in serious talks with the Memphis Grizzlies may give us a bit of insight as to what James’ future holds.

As for Miller, despite not being the talent he once was, he’s still a very effective offensive player and brings with him a savvy veteran knowledge. He isn’t going to light up the box score on a nightly basis, but he’s not going to be a harm to your team and will put up efficient numbers which every team loves.

In terms of a potential contract, there hasn’t been an actual figure released though Rob Fischer states that the current offer is higher than the Memphis Grizzlies previous offer to him. That’s likely due to teams like the Denver Nuggets and Cleveland Cavaliers showing interest.
