There isn’t a receiver on the Indianapolis Colts roster as valuable as veteran Reggie Wayne, as despite the success of the likes of T.Y. Hilton and the addition of Hakeem Nicks, Wayne is the type of receiver teams try years to find but can’t, and the Colts have had him for some of their best years.

That’s why when he tore his ACL last season at perhaps the most critical juncture of the Colts amazing second season under Andrew Luck, things looked like they were about to get really bad really fast for Indianapolis. But those dark days of uncertainty are now behind Wayne as he’s been medically cleared to play in training camp and made his triumphant return in grand style.
Wide receivers are showman, and Wayne showed up in the most awesome possible way at Colts camp on Wednesday when he rolled up in an IndyCar like he does it all the time.
If that’s not an epic return after coming off an ACL injury, then there’s no such thing. Wayne happens to be one of the more likable characters in the NFL as well, and this little stunt goes to show why Colts fans are happy to have him back to or close to where he was before the ACL tear.
