Report: Charlie Strong dismisses Joe Bergeron from Texas football team
By Jack Crosby
When he took over the Texas Longhorns football program, Charlie Strong put everyone on notice that he would not be putting up with any shenanigans. Well we might be seeing an example of that has Orange Bloods is reporting that Strong has dismissed running back Joe Bergeron from the team as of Thursday.
In case you’re keeping count, that’s now five players that are no longer with the Texas football team as of Thursday. Bergeron’s dismissal in the third to be reported in the last 24 hours, and this is in addition to the two players that were indefinitely suspended for their roles in an alleged sexual assault. As Richardson from Orange Bloods also pointed out, and what can clearly be seen, Strong is sending a message and cleaning house.
Bergergon was getting ready to enter his senior season of eligibility with the Longhorns. Last year, Bergeron rushed for 362 yards on 73 carries with four touchdowns.

No reasoning for the dismissal has been reported as of yet.
